A short consultation, including a brief medical history, is taken prior to your initial treatment to ensure it is the most appropriate and effective. A general base oil or lotion may be used, and skin type can be taken into account. The oil normally soaks into the skin quite quickly but may leave traces on the skin. You may occasionally feel some post-treatment soreness but this will normally disappear after a day or so. Do not worry about this – it is usually a sign that the treatment is having a positive effect.

As often as you like (provided that you are not suffering from any condition for which massage is contra-indicated – ask if in doubt). Some people find that a weekly massage helps to control their stress levels, while others find that a maintenance treatment every month works well.

Patients under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent who will be required to sign a consent form.

In accordance with standard practice, the full fee will be charged for missed appointments or cancellations, unless 48 hours notice is given.
